MY DRAWINGS :
ANIMATIONS IN MICROSTATION.

Technical Animations

MICROSTATION V8i

I was given a job where Microstation was the platform. I had no training and had to teach myself and perform adequately "within 2 weeks" of seeing the software. I LATER discovered on an Internet web page that the software had the "ability" to do simple animations.
My sample animations are done in "Microstation". This "Demo" is an EXAMPLE of what I was able to create with "no training".
On many jobs I have been tasked to learn new CAE software without any company sponsered training or assistance. By the time I have received any training, I was often so far in advance of the basic clasess, the trainers invited me to work with the developers on more complex issues.
You will find I'm highly "software literate" and will take it "beyond simple drafting ", but into the database, programming API, rendering and 3D aspsects as well. While I work with those who have been given paid training and have more yeras of experience, I can "eventualy match", if not exceed their skill set with software they have formal training on, as long as there is training documentation, access to software, and time for me to develop the skills. (often at home ,on my own time or during lunch.)

PRESENTING NEW IDEAS

DEADY- EXCESS PRODUCT RECYCLE

Process: Adding conveyor and Trim recycle unit to return excess product back into production cycle. Easy to explain - Better to "Visualize".
This example was designed for a meeting demonstration to explain the idea.

REMOTE VISUALIATION

STAMPING A PRODUCT AND RE-ORIENT PACKAGE FOR CORRECT POSITION IN CYCLE

Show the operation or equipment to others at remote locations. Online presentations.

PROCESS VISUALIZATION

AUTOMATION OF PRODUCT LOADING < PRINTING AND PACKAGING -CYCLIC PROCESS

See an entire process. More informative than plan view analysis. Predict rUNtime and user interaction, and ergonomics
(Contains sound).

FLYOVERS

VIEW PROJECTS OR CHANGES FROM VARIOUS ANGLES TO CONSIDER PERIPHERAL EFFECTS.

Being able to see in three dimensions not only the project area but various views of connected areas of consideration of interaction or response to bordering changes.

WALK THROUGHS

SEEING WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PATHWAYS FROM VARIOUS POINTS OF VIEW

Remotely be able to better visualize space and orientation. Views based on drawings and Human point of view.

CAD WARS

Animation- Microstation

"Spare time" at home. Not work hours. NOTHING SPECTACULAR-I Thought I'd try simple animation based on Microstation.
Sorry for the degraded resolution, multiple passes to add sounds and effects made for less ideal images. I don't have a studio or can afford serious video editing software.
i COULD DO A BETTER QUALITY MOVIE LIKE A TV ANIMATION BUT THAT LEVEL REQUIRES A MAJOR INVESTMENT OF TIME.
This was just to show the possibilties I can create.

"AN EXPLANATION"

The main purpoise of my position is to assure "fit and function". The colors are bright to let me "distinguish clearly" between parts and structures. Rendering, in my position,is not so important. I'm not making photos for a manual, but trying to save money on installation and unecesary rework So things get done right the 1st time. "Not bragging" because "Murphys law" implies anything can happen, but since going "3D" I have never had a "spatial miss".
others I know will surely blame and ridicule, if not chastise me, if "I" make a mistake , so I've always "measured many times", "modeled and verified", (takes longer but costs you less).
Managers often expect "perfection" from me or I will be released. While others employees have cost them thousands and are "still employed."
I'd rather be as "accurate" if not "precise". I'm just demonstrating "CAD use" not "pretty pictures". If you need to see "renderings", please check my "renders section" on my "Rendering" web page.
