    I HAVE BEEN CONTRACT A LOT, NOT HAVING THE ACCESS TO ENOUGH PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE TO DO DESIGN. BUT I AM A QUICK LEARNER AND INDEPENDENT IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TURN AROUND. I JUST SEEK A CHANCE FOR SOME MENTORING AND SOME PRACTICAL DESIGN EXPERIENCE.
    I HAVE BEEN DISCOVERED BY ENGINEERS, "NOT IN MY DEPARTMENT" WHO WANTED TO HELP TRAIN ME. ONE OR TWO, GAVE ME TRAINING MANUALS TO READ AND "TRAIN MYSELF", SINCE I DID NOT WORK WITH THEM DIRECTLY. USUALLY THEY WERE SOMEHOW LINKED TO "THE CHURCH". AS ONE WAS A MEMBER OF THE "FULL GOSPEL BUSINESS MEN IN ATLANTA AND WANTED TO HELP ME MOVE FORWARD. UNFORTUNATELY HE AND OTHERS WERE LAID OFF, IN TIME, AS WELL AS MY SUPERVISOR IN CAD, SO I HAD TO TAKE OVER CAD MANAGMENT AND NETWORK MANAGEMENT AFTER HE LEFT. LEAVING LITTLE TIME AND NO CHANCE TO GET INVOLVED DIRECTLY IN CONTROLS AND PLANT ENGINEERING, ONCE MY ADVOCATES FOUND NEW JOBS. ANOTHER JOB HIRED ME WITH THE PROMISE TO TRAIN ME IN SCHEMATICS AND CONTROLS DESIGN, BUT THEN THE ENGINEER I WAS TO REPLACE, DECIDED NOT TO QUIT, SO THEY PLACED ME IN CAD AGAIN.
    I HAVE ALL THE BASIC NECESSARY FOUNDATION. BUT LAYOFFS, INTERRUPTIONS OF CAREER ,DEPARTMENT COMPARTMENTALIZATION,AND A "STRANGE INTEREST" IN LIMITING MY CONTRIBUTIONS AND GROWTH HAS ALWAYS STOPPED ME FROM DEVELOPING THE HIGHEST SKILL SET.

    MY KNOWLEDGE & SKILLSET

    I HAVE DONE MANY SETS OF SCHEMATICS IN VARIOUS INDUSTRIES FOR MANY DIFFERENT COMPNAIES".

    IN MOST CASES, I HAVE BEEN HIRED TO DESIGN THE LAYOUT OF THE PANELS. I AM GIVEN THE SPECIFICATIONS, BILL OF MATERIAL AND SCHEMATICS AND LEFT TO DESIGN THE PANEL.

    ACTUAL DESIGN PERFORMANCE:


    IN MOST CASES I HAVE DONE THE DRAFTING AND NOT THE DESIGN, WHICH IS WHY I AM LOOKING TO EXPAND MY SKILLS INTO DESIGN AS WELL..
    I HAVE PERFORMED THE TASK OF "RESPECIFYING" EXISITING COMPONENTS AND "MODIFYING" SCHEMATICS, BUT SINCE MOST SCHEMATICS WERE DESIGNED BY A CUSTOMER, I WAS NEVER GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN "PROPER TECHNIQUE" TO HANDLE INITIAL SPECIFICATION, SCHEMATIC DESIGN AND PLC LOGIC. THIS IS TYPICALLY SPECIFIC TO A PRODUCT SO ITS VERY HARD TO GET EXPERIENCE WITHOUT WORKING FOR THE ACTUAL PRODUCT OEM.

    I WAS TOLD IN SCHOOL, AND BY "ENGINEERS ON THE JOB", I WOULD LEARN THIS "ON THE JOB". BEING OFTEN A "CONTRACT" EMPLOYEE, I HAVE SAT NEXT TO OTHERS "ENTRY LEVEL" WHO HAVE HAD SEASONED ENGINEERS WALK THEM THROUGH THE PROPER PROCESS AND "TEACH" THEM THIS SKILL FOR MONTHS.

    WHILE BEING "CONTRACT" I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANY TRAINING TO HELP ME ESTABLISH THIS SKILL SET TO BE "MORE" EFFICIENT AND PRODUCTIVE. I HAVE INQUIRED ABOUT BOOKS AND DOCUMENTATION, TO BE TOLD I NEED TO BE "TAUGHT THE PROCESS". SO THIS HAS LIMITED MY CAREER.

    I HAVE BASIC KNOWLEDGE IN DESIGN. I HAVE PERFORMED COMPONENT RESPECIFICATION, BUT THE ACTUAL DESIGN WAS ALREADY DONE.

    CAD SUPPORT SERVICES

    I WOULD LIKE TO OFFFER MY SERIVCES AS REDLINES AND REDRAW AND CAD SUPPORT UNDER THE TITLE OF "INFINITE THINKING". I HAVE FRIENDS WHOSE JOBS HAVE AFFORDED THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO BRING WORK HOME TO REPAIR DOCUMENATION TO SAVE THE COMPANY MONEY.
    I SIMPLY HAVE NOTED THAT WHEN I HAVE IMPLIED I COULD OFFER THE SAME SERVICE. OTHERS OFTEN SEEM TO THINK I AM TRYING TO "GET RICH SOMEHOW", THEY ARE OFTEN WILLING TO "PAY MORE" FOR AN "EXTRA HIRE" WHO DOESN'T UNDERSTAND , TAKES HIS TIME AND DOES A LESS THAN ADEQUATE JOB , WHILE ASKING ME QUESTIONS WHILE I HAVE MY OWN WORK TO DO.
    PLUS, WHEN MY FRIENDS DO GET THESE OPPORTUNITIES TO ENHANCE "THEIR INCOME", THEY OFTEN COME AND HIRE ME OR SOME "POORER" PRESENT EMPLOYEE AT A DISCOUNT RATE TO DO THE ACTUAL WORK. WHILE THEY COLLECT A FEE.

    WHEN IF THE COMPANY KNEW OF MY EXISTENCE , WE COULD HAVE CUT OUT THE "MIDDLE MAN" , YOU GET A "LOWER PRICE" AND I MAKE SOME "SIMPLE GAINS" IN LIFE, "NOT GET RICH" AS I GUARANTEE MY WORK ETHIC AND COMPETANCE. ONLY EXPECTING THE "FAIR PAY" YOU WOULD HAVE GIVEN THE "MIDDLE MAN".
    I AM BOUND BY "CHRISTIAN ETHICS", SO ITS NOT IN MY INTEREST TO CHEAT YOU. YES, THINGS TAKE A LITTLE LONGER- BUT YOU MUST REALIZE THE SAME UNDER THE OTHER PERSONS UMBRELLA AS THEY PROMISED DATES WHICH WERE NOT "EXACTLY KEPT ANYWAY", WAITING ON RESULTS FROM ME. I CAN'T WORK EVERY DAY. BUT I'M HONEST ABOUT IT.

    I ASK BECAUSE I HAVE EVEN HAD A "REFERENCE" TO TRY AND "APPLY FOR THE JOB" I WAS CONSIDERED FOR. (THE INTERVIEWER CALLED TO INFORM ME). OTHER REFERENCES WHO "VOLUNTEERED AS A REFERENCE". WHO DESPITE KNOW MY SKILLS DOWNPLAYED MY CONTRIBUTONS WHEN CALLED. (I HAD TO HAVE AN "INTERMEDIATE" CALL THEM TO SEE WHAT THEY WERE SAYING. ANOTHER WHO OFFERED TO SEND A EMPLOYEE THROUGH HIS TEMP SERVICE (SO HE COULD MAKE MONEY) RATHER THAN SUPPORT MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS A REFERENCE. ANOTHER WHO WHEN "I" WAS PERSONALLY REQUESTED "BACK TO A JOB"- OFFERED NEW EMPLOYEES TO SHOW THE DEPTH OF "HIS TEMP SERVICE", TO SHOW THEM HOW HE HAD GROWN HIS COMPANY. SO "NO ONE GOT THE JOB". SOMETIMES THESE COMPANIES CALL ME LATER AND WANT TO KNOW WHAT KIND OF "GAME IS BEING PLAYED"- IS HOW I "FIND OUT" WHAT PEOPLE ARE DOING TO ME. SO I HAVE NOW DECIDED TO OFFER THESE SERVICES MYSELF, IF WE CAN COME TO SOME ARRANGEMENT.
